This is thought to be a portrait of the artist's future wife, Muriel Minter. The two artists met while studying at the Royal College of Art, part of the brilliant intake of 1921, including Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Raymond Coxon and Edna Ginesi. This possibly unique lithograph was made the following year.
